Laura Long

Laura Long first recorded and performed vocals in bands over 20 years ago, at which time she also studied performing arts/theatre in Stratford-on-Avon.

She currently sings lead vocals in two bands, both of which play original songs and some re-worked covers. Laura co-writes and plays electric rhythm guitar in one. She also guest sings with other bands and songwriters. Over the years, Laura has experimented with different vocal techniques, but on discovering SLS, found it to be the only one to work with vocal issues in a truly meaningful and dynamic way - allowing the voice to function freely and at its best.

Laura enjoys crossing stylistic boundaries, going from soul to country, rock to chill out - giving her a wide base to draw on for teaching.
